Vacation rentals: If you can’t beat them, join them

Hoteliers have been attacking vacation home rentals for years with a strong emphasis on Airbnb, while travelers embrace the alternative lodging solution. Is there an opportunity for hotels to collaborate with nearby vacation rentals to achieve a win-win situation?

With the growth of private home rental segment there has been the growth of third party support services like housekeepers who clean up after your guests or maintenance teams to ensure your hot water always flows. Following this is the tremendous potential in offering other services like in-house private chefs and spa services, or full package pricing including things like transportation and security.

Might there be opportunities for nearby hotels to collaborate and provide support services to nearby vacation rentals?
