A maven of boutique and lifestyle hotel design, Anda Andrei has an illustrious repertoire of properties like 11 Howard, Asbury Park and The Norm at Brooklyn Museum. Her list of design accomplishments continues with other projects including the Gramercy Park Hotel, Royalton, Hudson and Delano.

As design director for Five Park Miami Beach, developed by Terra and GFO Investments, Andrei has a hand in every component of the luxury tower’s design, from functionality to finishes. Her mission was to assemble a design team and direction for the property that would deliver a living experience more akin to the fantasy of a fully-serviced hospitality destination. Andrei is working in tandem with Gabellini Shepard, Arquitectonica and ArquitectonicaGEO to direct the ethos of the project.

“The design concept for the building combines every element of Miami Beach to create an incredible quality of life,” says Anda Andrei, design director of Five Park. “From the residents-only club to the landscape of the amenity deck, all components are being held to the highest standards.”

To execute the interiors, famed design studio Gabellini Shepard is working closely with Andrei to outfit the residences. Airy, spacious bedrooms are planned for beautiful views and generous light, and are complemented with large walk-in closets. Each residence boasts custom-designed Italian oak cabinets and Gaggenau appliances, beautifully paired with marble counter tops and an integrated wooden-top dining table. The master bathrooms evoke a mood of elegance and indulgence, sporting Italian-made vanities, textured glass shower doors, and – in select units – wet rooms.

Alongside Andrei, ArquitectonicaGEO designed the outdoor amenity spaces with an interior sequential transition, providing a protected, intimate concept with secret gardens and spaces to discover and explore. Creating an amphitheater of landscape, cabanas, hammocks, walkways, shaded areas and sunset decks provide residents with an enviable outdoor sanctuary.

The masterplans by Arquitectonica are an ode to Five Park’s unique location. The design, inspired by Miami Beach living at new heights, highlights Five Park’s elliptical form which creates 360-degree ocean and bay views, with open floors and balconies for an inside-out approach to living.

As part of the Five Park project, the Miami Beach Canopy bridge will connect the building to the South of Fifth neighborhood to become the new iconic entrance to South Beach. Designed by famed French artist, Daniel Buren, the 158-foot-long enclosed tube will feature translucent panels filtering the light in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Five Park’s team of visionaries, helmed by Anda Andrei, thoughtfully incorporates state-of-the-art design into each element of this fully-serviced residential experience.
