Craft House Client, Time Out Market New York Debuts
In Brooklyn, a New Food Hall With Breathtaking Views
Time Out Market New York, from the publishers of the magazine, features 21 vendors in a two-story space in Dumbo.

The layout of the two-story Time Out Market New York, opening Friday, may be typical — aisles lined with vendors making and serving their specialties, areas for communal tables — but the details set it apart. Seats are leather. Your food comes on chinaware, with metal utensils. Drinks from three bars are poured into glasses, and there is staff to clear the tables. “We also offer a cultural aspect,” said Didier Souillat, the chief executive of what is now a group of three markets owned by the Time Out Group in London. “There’s a stage and an exhibition space.” It’s worth noting that the riverfront views, especially from outdoor tables and the upper floor, can’t be beat. The 21 participating food companies and restaurants, selected by the editors of Time Out New York, include Clinton Street Baking Company, Jacob’s Pickles, Breads Bakery, Felice Pasta Bar, Mr. Taka ramen, David Burke Tavern, Center Cut for kosher meat and vegetarian fare from the chef Ivy Stark at Bklyn Wild.
