Group buying for private jets: a win-win situation
Brilliant. For most of us, the idea of hiring a private jet is completely foreign. But in a tight economy, Jetsuite, a private jet charter company, has started a host of promotions to make private jets more affordable to monetize otherwise empty seats.
Though private jets are otherwise opulent and unsustainable, the idea of sharing jets just as we do Zip Car or Airbnb allows multiple customers to minimize the overall impact a single jet would otherwise have. Not great, but better. And for those who are going to fly private jets anyhow, this is the best of the worst.
Suite Savers - low fares on flights between certain destinations
Suite Deals - last minute deals posted on Facebook for as little as $499 per seat
Suite Share - the ability to hire a jet, then offer seats to the public via the Jet Suite Facebook site. If others join, your cost goes down incrementally, with the chance to fly for free if you're able to sell all seats on the flight!
